Your Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form According to Your Astrological Sign
This comeback of Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm across the community. From the one-by-one unveiling of newcomers before the title's release, to trainers forming firm opinions on the full roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: What's the best way to link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and zodiac symbol that evoke the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being fun, cheerful, and spontaneous. This makes Aries far more akin to Mega Camerupt, which only spews lava when angered. Stay on the good side of either and benefit from a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, whether in its standard and Mega form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, both the creature and a Bull are still Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Taurus friends, however, is its unabashed passion for snacks. Several previous official descriptions mention their craving for sweet sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it everything, which is pure Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Look at this total royalty. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the life of any gathering, providing an constant fountain of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's very simple to envision Super Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an opponent's future actions, which sounds quite like a people-smart Twins.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most sensitive member of the astrological wheel, a intense sign famous for often becoming wrapped up in their emotions. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to completely manage,” which seems a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. It is also known for its ability to make a thundercloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is going to do, it’s rain on their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to pick Pyroar for the lion of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be much too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely glamorous (or horrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same vibe a Leo brings to the table. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting radio waves from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s just like a Leo to be staging a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being charmingly critical is clearly mirrored throughout this Pokémon’s whole lineage, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden posts to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.
Libra – Super Audino
Observe this gentle, empathetic creature, who uses the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to maintain the peace, there are many Scales who would probably appreciate Super Audino's abilities. Though, to be frank, it would probably just make them stress more about others.
The Scorpion – Super Banette
Banette is a creature with a surprisingly tragic backstory: Discarded as a doll, it gained consciousness through sheer resentment and swore retribution on its previous caretaker. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves karma and comeuppance, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Mega Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly staging a show. As a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little entertainer” is countless. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to display its power.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius match I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Mega Absol has the ability to predict calamities ahead of time? That exudes the exact same energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the very initial Mega Evolution that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – just like a Goat to join the ground floor of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Aloof air sign Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s double Ghost/Fire category fits seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating presence is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet persuaded, the Mega’s Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into strength.” If that doesn’t exactly {encaps
